Dow Chemical announces quarterly dividend

MIDLAND, Mich. -- Today, the Dow Chemical Company (NYSE: DOW) declared a dividend of 15 cents per share, payable Oct. 30, 2009, to shareholders of record on Sept. 30, 2009.

This marks the 392nd consecutive cash dividend issued by the Company. Dow has paid its shareholders cash dividends every quarter since 1912.

Dow remains a large employer in West Virginia. In 2008, Dow was listed as the 93rd largest private employer in the state by WorkForce West Virginia.
